Principal's Message

August 18, 2022

Dear Parents/Guardians of Wapato High School Students,

Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year at Wapato High School.  We are very excited to welcome our students back to school this fall.  Our goal is to have all students graduate from WHS on time with their class.  Over the last few years we have had great success graduating students because of the work our students have put in, our outstanding staff, and the partnerships with our parents and community.  We are looking to continue this success in all grades and graduate all 180 seniors in June 2023.

Here are some important dates for the start of the 2022-2023 school year:

  • Aug 22 - WHS Office Opens & Cross Country, Girls Soccer, and Volleyball Practice begin
  • Aug 23-25 - Seniors/Parents meet w/Counselors for Graduation Plan 8:00 am - 2:30 pm
  • Aug 23 - New Student Registration - 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
  • Sept 1 - Freshmen Orientation (Freshmen Students only) - 1:00 pm - 5:30 pm
  • Sept 1 - Open House (Open to all students and families)  - 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
    • Pick up schedules, meet teachers, check-out Chromebooks, request schedule changes, etc.
  • Sept 6 - First Day of School
  • Sept 9 - Picture Day

Our staff is thrilled for the start of the new school year and to be working with our students once again.  We are looking forward to working with our students and their families to help ensure all students are successful at WHS.  Please feel free to contact myself ([email protected]) or call the school office if you have any questions or concerns (509) 877-3138.

The first day of school is September 6, 2022
