The candidate filing period for the 2023 election season takes place the week of May 15-19.  In Yakima County there are several city council and school board positions up for election this year.  In the Wapato School District there are three school board seats up for election.  The seats are in Districts 3, 4 and 5.  Eligible candidates who live in any of those three districts can file during the week of May 15-19 to run for those positions. The term of office for the school board is 4-years.

The 2023 Primary Election day is August 1st and the General Election Day is November 7th.
